Hi everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful summer break and are raring to go for the year ahead.
The blog is back, and I'll try to schedule posts to deliver on Mondays from now on, so keep your eyes peeled for fortnightly updates and information.
Please read to the end, as there are a number of items and reminders for your attention.
1 - Our wonderful annual Hub Conference is coming up on the 20th October - please ask your school to sign you up and join us if you can! Conference and workshop info below, and click here for the booking form.
2 - A reminder that we have a range of resources and helpful materials on this site, ideal to assist with your planning for the year ahead. You can find these in the Resources tab at the top of this webpage (or you can click this link!).
3 - I'm still looking for colleagues to help set up our support groups for the different vocational qualifications (BTEC, NCFE, or WJEC Technical Awards). If you run any of these vocational courses then please complete this survey - I would love as many of you as possible to join a working group that can share resources, plans and experiences with each other.
4 - We have a great opportunity for your keen singers. Hampshire County Youth Choirs are holding a FREE "Sing Alongside" rehearsal on Friday 15 September, ready for enrolment for the new academic year. To sign up and find out more follow this link:
And here is a poster for the event:
5 - As well as the conference, we will be running 2 secondary network meetings and 2 teach-meets this academic year. Due to popular opinion, the 2 network meetings (in the spring and summer of 2024) will be held at our HQ for free (more details to follow).
The teach-meets (for resource sharing and networking) will also be free, and I am hoping that these will be held towards the end of this term, one in the North of the county and one in the South. If you are from a school in the North or the South and interested in hosting one of these events between around 3pm until 5pm on a Wednesday in November, can you please email me at dave.jones@hms.hants.gov.uk.
Thank you for reading this far! Please do let me know if I can help in anyway, either by email or a visit to your school.
Dave
