New to the Secondary Music Blog - Teaching and Learning Webinars!

Dear All,

Just to let you know of an exciting change to the Secondary Music Blog. There is now a Teaching and Learning Webinar button. This is a new area I am keen to develop - short webinars from music colleagues across Hampshire to share practice. Approaches to learning and curriculum being the key focus.

There are currently 5 webinars on remote teaching. Thank you to Bryan Postlethwaite (Wyvern School and Barton Peveril Sixth Form College) , Simon Lawrenson (The Romsey School) and Dave Clarke and John Deacon (Kings School).

The webinars centre on a number of areas I shared in my last post about online teaching re. sites of instruction and sites of application. The videos demonstrate how to utilise the various online apps and tools available. The emphasis on delivering the curriculum that would be delivered in school/college, ensuring the learning is well sequenced and goals are explicit. Also enabling collaborative engagement with the learning and opportunities for students to interact with each other as well as the teacher.

I hope you find the webinars interesting and helpful. Please do get in touch if you have any questions, wish to find out more, or would like to share a webinar yourself.

Best wishes,

Shaun
