Hampshire Music Network Meetings - bookings open!

Good afternoon! I hope you all had a wonderful break and have had a great start to the new term.

Welcome to our new blog members - I hope you will find these updates useful and informative. I aim to publish fortnightly posts, but will sometimes send a few in between to advertise upcoming events and opportunities. Any ideas or feedback will be gratefully received at dave.jones@hms.hants.gov.uk, but please bear in mind that my secondment as Curriculum Consultant with HMS is on Fridays only.

I am very pleased to announce that we are now offering termly county-wide network meetings, in line with other subject offers through HIAS. Please request to attend as soon as possible, and pass on this link to line managers - https://hias-moodle.mylearningapp.com/course/index.php?categoryid=78. Both the Spring and Summer meetings outlined on this link will be on Friday afternoons, and the venue will be confirmed once we have a better idea of numbers attending. Your school leadership and/or admin team will have access to Learning Zone, which is used to book HIAS courses and is the only way to sign up for our new network meetings.

We encourage as many of you to attend as possible, as it will be a fantastic opportunity to network with colleagues across the whole county, which was previously only possible at the annual conference. It will allow us to gain from each others' experiences and ideas, as well as providing the perfect opportunity to split off in to GCSE/vocational board groups to discuss/plan/moderate your Key Stage 4 qualifications. There will also be training and development input on some critical areas of both Key Stage 3 and 4 planning, delivery and assessment. The content of both meetings compliment each other, so we recommend attending both of the dates to get the most out of the sessions.

I hope you are all well and look forward to seeing many of you soon.

Dave Jones
